Rikkyo University
Rikkyo University was established in 1874 by Bishop Williams from the American Episcopal Church and inherited the tradition of liberal arts education from the West, which is the core of Rikkyo’s educational policy today. Rikkyo has been widely known as a global institution, and according to the ranking of Times Higher Education, Rikkyo is ranked No.1 for international outlook among private universities in Japan. Our main campus is located in Ikebukuro, Tokyo (heart of Tokyo), and second campus is located in Saitama. Our main campus owns a number of historical buildings designated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and we are proud of the history and tradition of our campus. Rikkyo offers students a lot of opportunities of learning and extra-curricular activities.
